Understanding the Software Release Schedule

The plan

We are committed in delivering improved and enhanced software releases, the soonest possible, in order to meet the requirement of our customers for the continuous improvement of their experience and work. Therefore, we are working in releasing new software versions with code corrections, new software features and enhancements, in regular, frequent intervals.

- A major software version is released every year.

- First point releases, such as v15.1.0, v15.2.0, v15.3.0 and so on, with code corrections but also with additional software features and enhancements are released every three months.

- Second point releases, such as v15.3.1, v15.3.2 etc. mainly with code corrections only upon their parent first point release, are scheduled on a monthly basis.

Each software release is accompanied by a detailed description of the introduced corrections and/or additions so that our customers can decide whether it is critical to implement this release in their environment.

This release

This release of v15.3.3 brings code corrections on v16.3.2.

Known issues resolved in ANSA

General

Reading an ANSA defaults file created in v15.2.3, could result in syntax errors in newer ANSA versions.

Loading a “layout definition” .xml file, might not produce the expected GUI structure.

Applying Near function, with “Dense search” option activated, would create extra nodes.

Quality Criteria would be saved as having mm units, ignoring the current units set in ANSA.

Data Management

During saving a representation, several attributes of Nodes (name, comment, Frozen

ID, etc.) might not be saved.

Shell Mesh

Wrap [Variable Length]: Scale Base Length option would not be respected by the procedure.

Creating a Surf. Wrap task in Task Manager, could result in unexpected termination.

Solver DECKs

COG of a BEAM defined with offset vectors, was not calculated correctly.

Output *END keyword (LS-DYNA) changed position in output file, even when the include file had been marked as inline and read-only.

NASTRAN: PBUSHT keyword lines could be erroneously written in output file.

LS-DYNA: Fields of Variables of *DEFINE_CURVE cards, would accept up to seven digits only.
